Point of sale for Australian salons

AJSuite runs the whole salon day.

The walk-in at the door, the chair, the till, the receipt, the commission run and the follow-up message. Four apps and your own booking site, all live against one backend — across every shop you run.

In pilot with AJ Beauty Group — three shops in Sydney

Four apps, one backend

Everyone in the shop gets the screen built for their job.

AJ POS

iPad · the till

Ring up a sale, split the payment across cash, card, gift card and voucher, and hand over a GST receipt. Touch targets sized for wet hands.

AJ Beauty

iPhone · your customer

Book, pay a deposit, watch the queue move, and keep gift cards, vouchers and loyalty points in one place.

AJ Staff

iPhone · your team

Your techs see their own roster, their own bookings and their own commission as it is earned — nobody else’s.

A day on the floor

One walk-in, start to finish.

01

She checks in

At the kiosk by the door, or from her phone. She joins the queue and can see where she sits in it.

02

A tech takes her

The waiting board and every till update at once. The service is attributed to the tech who does the work.

03

She pays

Part gift card, part card. GST is broken out on the receipt and the points land on her account before she leaves.

04

You close the day

One Z-Report per shop: takings, GST, payment mix and commission owed per tech. No spreadsheet at midnight.

Features

Everything a salon actually does on a Saturday.

Nothing here is a module you buy later. It is one platform, and every part of it is live on the same data at the same time.

Point of sale

Select a technician, tap a service, take payment. Split a single sale across cash, card, gift card and voucher in any combination. Hold a basket and come back to it. Refund or void with a reason recorded against the staff member who did it.

Bookings and deposits

Availability comes from the live roster, so you cannot be booked into a shift nobody is working. Take a deposit at the time of booking and it carries through to the sale. Your own booking site sits on your domain and uses your colours.

The walk-in queue

One queue, shared by the check-in kiosk, the waiting board on the wall, every till and the customer’s own phone. When a tech picks someone up, all four change together — no calling out names twice.

Check-in kioskWaiting boardLive on her phone

Gift cards and vouchers

Sold at the till or online, redeemable at any shop in the organisation. Every top-up and redemption is a line on an immutable ledger, so a balance can always be explained. Three-year minimum expiry, as the law requires.

Immutable ledgerRedeem at any shop

Memberships and loyalty

Prepaid packages that draw down as they are used, recurring memberships, and Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers that earn points on spend. Points and tier show on her phone and at the till, so the discount is never an argument.

Prepaid packagesSilver · Gold · Platinum

Commission

Set a rate per technician, or per category for a technician. Commission is attributed on the sale itself, not reconstructed at the end of the week, so a tech can check her own number on her own phone any time.

Reporting

A Z-Report per shop per day: takings, GST, payment mix, discounts, refunds and commission owed. Then the same figures rolled up across the organisation, so you can see which shop is carrying which.

Daily Z-ReportOrg roll-up

More than one shop

Shops share a catalogue and a customer list but keep their own roster, pricing and takings. Tenant isolation is enforced in the database, not in the app — one salon’s data cannot be reached from another, even by mistake.

Australian by default

Built here, not translated for here.

Most point-of-sale software is built for somewhere else and patched for Australia afterwards. AJSuite starts here. Prices are stored GST-inclusive and money is decimal end to end, so the tax line on a receipt is the tax line in your report.

Pricing

We are setting pricing with the first pilot salons.

Rather than publish a number picked in advance, we are working it out with the shops running AJSuite now. If you are one of the first, you help set it — and you keep that rate.

What a pilot gets

01The whole platform — four apps and your booking site. No feature held back for a higher plan.
02Your catalogue, staff, rosters and existing customer list loaded in for you before you go live.
03On-site setup in Sydney, and someone on the phone who built the thing when something goes wrong.
04A free trial period, and the pilot rate locked in once pricing is set.

What we ask of you

Run it as your real till, not a trial in the back room. Tell us when it gets in your way. That is the whole deal — the product gets better because a working shop pushed back on it.

Enquire about a pilot

Tell us about your shop and we will come back to you within two business days.

We use your details only to reply. Nothing is shared with anyone else.

Support

Something wrong at the till?

If the shop is open and you are stuck, call. Everything else can go by email and we will answer the same day.

Shop is open, till is down

Call and keep taking payments on the second iPad while we sort it. Sales sync back once the first one is back.

Urgent line

Everything else

Catalogue changes, a new staff member, a report that looks wrong, a feature you wish existed.

Hours

Monday to Saturday, 9am to 7pm AEST. Pilot salons have an after-hours number.

Getting started

Your first sale, in four taps.

01

Tap your own name to log in. No shared password.

02

Tap New sale, then tap the technician doing the work.

03

Tap each service. It lands in the basket on the left.

04

Tap Charge and choose how she is paying.

Common questions

The internet is out. Can we still trade?

Yes. The till keeps taking sales and syncs them when the connection comes back. Card terminals are separate and depend on your own provider.

Can a tech see another tech’s commission?

No. Staff see their own bookings and their own earnings. Only an owner or manager sees the whole shop.

We already have a customer list. Can you bring it in?

Send it in whatever shape it is in — a spreadsheet export is fine. We load customers, catalogue and gift card balances before you go live.

Do you store card numbers?

Never. Card data goes straight to the payment provider. AJSuite records what was paid and by what method, nothing more.
